MAP Testing this week....

Room 103 will take the MAP tests in Reading and Math on the computers during the week of December 8. That is this week. We plan to take the reading portion on Monday, December 9 and the math portion on Wednesday, December 11.

FYI...our schedule will be different on Tuesday and Thursday to accommodate testing schedules at another grade level. We will have specials in the morning on those two days.

How can you help at home? Continue to have students complete Compass Learning at home.

You can also help to support your child by making sure they have a great breakfast and lots of sleep the night before.  I think the students will enjoy it!

Little Thinkers...Holidays Around The World #3...Traditions, Cultures, Celebrations...

We started our next unit of study in Social Studies. Take a look!

Ms. Anzer's last day....

We are very sad to see Ms. Anzer leave us on Friday, because we have grown to love her and she has taught us many things during her time with us. Please wish her good luck!

Our PBL... Things changing over time....

Wow! These kids are absoultely amazing! They rose to the challenge to research and teach others about things long ago.. We learned about toys, school, cars/transportation, clothing, and home and how they have changed over time. They first taught each other then had Mrs. Marino's class come into our class and teach them as well.

Winter Break Party....

Many students love to head home with their parents after our winter party. You are welcome to take your child if you would like to. The buses will run like normal if your child stays at school.

The final day for students will be Thursday, Dec. 19 so be sure to send the kids back on Thursday. Thank you!

We plan to make little snowmen. Such fun!

  • Recall addition facts to subtract numbers within 20.
  • Subtract by breaking apart to make a ten.
  • Solve subtraction situations using the strategy act it out.
