Chapter 7 focuses on comparing numbers. Take a look at the I Can statements. I Can:
Model and compare two-digit numbers using symbols.
Solve problems using the strategy "make a model".
Identify numbers that are 10 less or 10 more than a given number.

One person can hit a number and the other person figures out how many is ten more and ten less. Encourage the idea that you are adding or subtracting 10 to the tens place not the ones place. It is also great practice for adding and subtracting 1 and 10 on a number chart.
