Our first grade team at Maple Dale will be utilizing GO MATH! for math this year!
The program offers a variety of ways to learn math and provides for differentiation, too. I am very excited that we will continue this new program and promise to keep you updated along the way!
We will take an end of first grade Go Math assessment during the first few weeks. I can use this information to determine pacing of chapters. If students are familiar and successful with some concepts, we would move at a quicker pace. If assessments indicate the information is new to students, we will be able to slow down. There is a kindergarten assessment that I can give to any student that may need to "fill in some gaps" to be more successful with this program.
