We are going to tackle Chapter 11 while everyone is at home. This chapter should take slightly over 10 days to complete so that is enough lessons for the weeks of March 23-27 and March 30-April 3.
We start out with a page about what do you know, then the next day do the first the math lesson. It is 2 pages, but the back and front of each page, so it will add up to 4 pages of work. See above. On the next day, do the math practice and homework page, which is one page, front and back. Continue to alternate back and forth each day. One day do the lesson, next day do the homework. There are 5 lessons in this chapter.
When you finish with the lesson and homework for 11.5, you can complete the Chapter 11 Review/Test which is pages 663 through 666. See above.
Each chapter always includes some work to emphasize and practice concepts. See above. There is a vocabulary reader, write about the story, figure it out, show what you know, vocabulary builder, shape match bingo, chapter 11 vocabulary, going on a train trip game and the write way activity. You may work these on days when you have more time to complete work. Perhaps on days when you do the homework rather than the lesson or on a rainy day.

This chapter is all about three dimensional shapes. We will start it later in the week. Check out our I Can statements. I Can:
- Identify and describe three-dimensional shapes according to defining attributes.
- Compose a new shape by combining three-dimensional shapes.
- Use composite three-dimensional shapes to build new shapes.
- Identify three-dimensional shapes used to build a composite shape using the strategy "act it out".
- Identify two-dimensional shapes in three-dimensional shapes.
